WCPRD hosted a National I Hoops Competition that was held at Crawfordville Gym on Saturday, January 30th. The I Hoops Competition is an event that challenges the skills of young basketball players through a series of basketball drills. This event is sponsored by the National Basketball Association and is conducted throughout the country during the basketball season.

Locally, Dezzaline Howard won the 11&12 Year Old Division and Kennedy Nelson placed second. Jackson Russell won the 9&10 Year Old Division and Dewayne Reynolds came in second place.

The scores of Dezzaline Howard and Jackson Russell have been forwarded on to the I Hoops Headquarters and they will be compared to other local winners around Florida and South Georgia. They could possibly advance to a sectional competition that will be hosted at an Orlando Magic game. Good luck to both of these players.
